I am not too worried about being stared at. I am used to it so it does not bother me. I just do not want to be treated differently because of my appearance. I always wear 100% cotton T-shirts and basketball shorts for comfort so I should not appear intimidating.

I am a frequent daydreamer especially when I am walking around so perhaps my facial expressions are a bit awkward. I can make goofy/funny facial expressions and now I do like to smile more than I used to.

Thanks for the positive feedback everyone. I was a bit worried that I looked out of place in society and would be judged in my ability to make friends or pursue romantic interests because of my face.

Not when you're smiling, duh.
My default facial expression always moves everyone -even bikers, even hardcore murderers- out of my way. I don't mean it bad.
Usually I'm just lost in thought.

I suppose if I thought about it I'd be a little bit proud of that - after my pants dried out of course.

You look fine, but like Kuribo said, it could be a body language thing.

Not at all. Your picture reminds me somewhat of how I looked when I was younger.

I haven't read the other posts, so I don't know if you've qualified this at all, but my first impression is that you're not scary at all!
Are you carrying a hatchet and a severed head below shoulder-line? That might change my opinion!

You have a kind looking face that could be the reason why people look at you. If you are like me then maybe you smile a lot, this seems to attract onlookers.
All my life people have stared at me, especially children, I have gotten use to it.

Good luck with stepping out into the world of others. Nothing much has changed, people still wonder about their place in the world, going from one day to another.

You look like a very sweet and handsome young man in that photo. But if you looked exactly as in the photo eg at a funeral, or when passing a stranger in the street, then you'd be seen as creepy.

I think you seem kind of cute in that photo. Nice smile. Pretty eyes.

I don't know what its like in a galaxy far far away, but here in Australia, a lot of people I know have close cropped hairdos, and the only psychos among them are my husband and his huge tattooed musclebound mate. My brothers and some of my cousins are quite nice and wear that sort of look.

As was said, you might consider your body language.

Or maybe some chicks want to 'crack onto you'.

You said you wander around daydreaming a lot. Is your face deadpan when you're doing that? If so, that would make your "Look" potentially aggressive, as you have quite powerful, expressive eyes.

I can only make eye contact in positive situations, or when I'm feeling positive. Although it can be quite fun when your boss realises mid criticism that your eyes are saying "I would flay you and wear your skin, you contemptible cretin" while your (my) mouth is stretched into its puppy-dog "I'm harmless, please don't hurt me" rictus.......

I have this problem too. When I look at people, they look away quickly, then I feel guilty for trying to look at them at all as if I did something wrong. I don't think I look scary.

Throughout my life I have been stared at quite a bit and had a few people try to avoid me when I walked nearby. As if I appeared to be somewhat scary or creepy. My appearance has changed quite a bit since then and have been a recluse for years. So shall I expect the same reaction when I go amongst the general public again?

I think you are handsome.

People think I am scary especially with my helmet on.

I dunno shrugs* do I look scary?
