This pic is from the packet of macarons I sometimes buy from Woolworths. They are not bad. My order of preference:

1 lemon
2 raspberry
3 vanilla
4 pistachio
5 coffee
6 chocolate

I like them all, but chocolate always reminds me of cockroaches lately.

Do you eat macarons? Which flavors do you like? Do you buy exactly the same packet as the pic? Do you know any good flavors that are not in the pic?

I have never heard of macarons. I think I am going to have to see if they have them in the shops now.

If it makes any difference, I love coconut macaroons, but those are a whole different thing.

Thanks for responding, Moomingirl. I was only vaguely aware of macaroons. I just googled it. Obviously they get confused sometimes.

I have had macaroons. I was offered them once or twice while visiting at someone's home.

I think I had vanilla and raspberry. Both were fine. They would not be my first choice but were fine.

I don't like pistachio or coffee flavored anything.

I've had some green tea macarons and they were delicious.

I forgot about the coconut macaroons dipped in chocolate on the bottom. Those are pretty good. They were more moist and chewy than the other type. I don't normally like coconut but in that case it works.

So that type would probably be my first pick followed by any flavor but ones I dislike. Macaroon isn't my favorite type of cookie and I would not probably choose it on my own unless I really really wanted a cookie for some reason  and the bakery had a coconut chocolate dipped one, and it looked good, and their other stuff didn't look good.

PS I've just noticed the difference between macaroon and macaron was pointed out. Sorry.

I guess I have tried both, with results detailed above. :)

Macarons are way too sweet for me.
