the last boy scout - a morally bankrupt movie if there ever was one, I felt like taking a bath in chlorophyll after watching it. :oops: I take that back, everything made by that full-of-himself artsnob tarantino guy is also morally bankrupt.

sorry :oops: it really wasn't bad, it was well-made but in terms of what I see a movie for, it was full of downer things for me.

Boyz in tha Hood - I remember there was a lot of controversy surrounding this, because a lot of people who chose not to watch it declared that it was glorifying gang violence.

After watching the trailers, I can't say that I blame them for feeling that way. The film itself is quite the opposite of that, though.

i can remember back when I was a kid, and The Warriors was considered a controversial movie. Today, it's a hoot to watch. :lol:

I remember at age 10 reading a review in the local paper of Saturday Night Fever that said it had "animalistic" sex in it. I was of course wildly curious after that....

How the warriors was controversial i will never know,it was one of my favourite movies growing up as a kid, and my ma would not let us watch anythin with violence when we were kids, and she just didnt give a shite about this one......still one of my all time favourites

I remember reading about when "who's afraid of Virginia Woolf" came out [1965] movie theatres would only allow 18+ attendance. today it would get a PG.
