For men or females, what is your preference for merging with the opposite sex?

I prefer older mates because I can learn from them.

I prefer older...always found I have to mother males younger than me

Then again older guys are condescending at times...

...and guys my own age are stupidly immature...

i sort of like the way older men generally have their lives together or at least know where they want to go and are in the right direction... i also find myself more attracted to older men and the way they look and carry themselves... i find it so sexy to find a dark and mysterious older man- makes you want to show them things that they don't already know or haven't experienced in a while...

Younger. As a guy it just seems wrong to me to have romantic feelings for an older woman.

I don't really have a preference, but statistically, nearly all of the women who have expressed an interest in me have been older than me. I am 27 years old, and the average age for a woman interested in me is 35.

Older.

I always seem to find younger cuter, I noticed that my intro to teaching class (that I am taking as a junior) has a large # of cute people while some of the other advanced classes have a very small portion of cute people. In addition to that most of the people I have been noticing are cute around campus lately are people I have never seen around before, both could be explained by other means but I think more likely college freshmen are very cute .

Exactly my age even though a year or two older/younger would not seem to hurt.

I really do not give a care about age.

I like women older women more but they seem to have interest in younger men. Younger women are easier to impress for some reason.

I'm 22 years old, so I'd go for someone as young as 19 to as old as 23.

Older women.

Most women who are even remotely interested in me are between 26 and 32 years old.

I can't seem to get along well with women the same age or younger as I.

Younger, but by no more than 3 years, and she has to be at least 21. Not that I have anything against girls younger than that, but if the girl is not old enough to drink, it limits the places I can go with her.

younger for me. That way I am closer to her social age, though she will probably still be more advanced. This worked great for me when I was 28 and went out with a 22 girl, especially since she was shy and had never had a serious boyfriend before (and wasn't a player, either.) She's the one I went out with for 4 1/2 years.
