"Banks are not doing particularly well"
Watch this video, then say that again with a straight face

You said you debunk a lot of "conspiracy theories" but it doesn't seem like you've done much research into what you supposedly debunk.

No. Just no.

We need less government and more decentralisation, not more government and more centralisation. Complex societies will, if history is a guide, always collapse, and if you're reliant on somewhere halfway around the world for your prosperity, if not survival, when it does... if you aren't, there's no need to have such a government anyway, so why do it?

I'm a doocrat and a believe in an adhocracy who really doesn't see the need to have some kind of "one world government".

Governments exist or have to exist only because of human wickedness. There is nothing -good- about government. Government is about wickedness and evil.

All sorts of societies collapse sooner or later, that simply history and is not related to it being complex or not. Roman empires falls because of its borders getting to big, and little tribes have wipe themselves out for their land and deer-ownage. Time brings changes, and changes can be good or bad. Dinosaurier society was pretty simple as scientists belive, still that didnt help them from collapsing. ^^

See how long your society lasts if a comet the size of Mt. Everest crashes into it.

I have written a book against conspiracy theories, The Great Blunder (which also deals with a few other subjects). Apparently, you do not agree with me. That is fine. However, one of the basic approaches I take to teaching my sociology classes is to show, systematically, why conspiracy theories are not academic.

I agree on the decentralization part. My views are federalist, not unitary.

Did you watch the video I posted? I really think you should, as it points out of a lot of important facts. And if you like trying to debunk things like this, I'd honestly like to see you do it to this one, because if it wasn't true, that would be great.

Then what do you need a global government for?

I will watch a bit of it. [Edit: Yes, I am familiar with the "Ponzi scheme" conspiracy theory about the federal reserve. I am not an economist, but it has been successfully debunked by scholars in the area.]

I said I would like to see a global federation, not a global unitary government. The U.S. is a federation, too (of Kansas, New York, Georgia, etc.).

In other words, I could say, "Well, we have individual states, why do we need a federal government?" The Confederacy tried to challenge the idea of national sovereignty and to argue for "states' rights." They lost. lol.

I'm in the Pro camp, and have long since considered myself a Global Federalist.
