INTJ. I tend to flip back and forth between INTJ and INFJ, though. This time around the preference was a mere 1% in favor of T vs F. I feel like people who fall in the middle ground need a whole category of their own. Like a 0 for neutral or something.

Has anyone studied this? Like with a formal research study? Because the proportions of people on the spectrum that seem to be INTJ doesn't match up at all to the proportion in the general population - we're talking it's normally 1-4%, but in other polls I saw on this site (and one had ~1600 respondents) the percentage was more about 33%. I guess INTJ traits are best lined up with AS traits? Still quite interesting...starting to make me wonder how many INTJ's are not AS. Interesting food for thought.

Do you mean THIS ONE that I started over 5 years ago and that has since then been made a "sticky" thread?

I hope that those who have not already done so will enter their results on that thread, too.

ISTJ, just like all the other times I've taken versions of this test. But...because my scoring percentage was

Introvert 100%
Sensing 1%
Thinking 50%
Judging 1%

just a couple different answers could have turned me INTP.

No worries, mate!

I'd like to see all such threads merged, but that would take some 7334 Skilzorz!

(... which I do not have ...)

Sounds like a good task for the right Aspie :)

Ok, I know what Fnord represents, but what are skilzorz? I googled it, but it was futile.

No worries, I did. Wouldn't have found it if not for this thread. Certainly interesting results - glad these polls have been set up! :)

INFJ
Introvert(22%) iNtuitive(25%) Feeling(50%) Judging(56%)

•You have moderate preference of Intuition over Sensing (25%)
•You have moderate preference of Feeling over Thinking (50%)

when I was younger I was most of an INTP. as I grew older I guess I changed somewhat, at least on the thinking/feeling [it swung towards feeling by <5%] and judging/perceiving which swung towards judging by about 10 points. just a couple of different answers could have swung me back towards INTP.

Regardless of my opinions about the theory behind this test, I found the test itself to be full of vague, ambiguous, and often confusing questions that could very easily be misinterpreted. Some of the questions seem to hint at specifics without actually giving them, and could be interpreted in several different ways which might yield different answers. For several of them, my answer would be different depending on circumstances. I don't think this is a very good test to use for real evaluation of personalities.

These questions in particular really confused me:

Strict observance of the established rules is likely to prevent a good outcome. (...what?)
Deadlines seem to you to be of relative, rather than absolute, importance. (Relative to what?)
It's essential for you to try things with your own hands. (What things? While learning, or while working, or what?)
You feel more comfortable sticking to conventional ways. (What ways? Are we talking about social interactions? Planning? Work? Travel? Far too broad.)
You willingly involve yourself in matters which engage your sympathies. (...what?)

Generally, I think that many of the questions on the test could have been much more clearly worded. I have no idea how accurate my result really is. In any case, here's what it tells me:

ISFJ
Introvert(78%) Sensing(25%) Feeling(38%) Judging(44%)

You have strong preference of Introversion over Extraversion (78%)
You have moderate preference of Sensing over Intuition (25%)
You have moderate preference of Feeling over Thinking (38%)
You have moderate preference of Judging over Perceiving (44%)

I do not entirely agree with this result. I am definitely thinking over feeling. But then again, I don't agree with the theory behind these tests anyway.

I got ISTP.

In others myers-briggs test I've scored either ISTP, ISTJ, or INTP.

I don't think that the myers-briggs personality test is very accurate.

Apart from the fact that this wasn't THE (official!) Myers Briggs Indicator (it's not a Test!!), answering the (official!) questions is just one stage of the process of identifying your own personality type. There really is no substitute for doing the complete process, guided by a Qualified Practitioner.

ChrisP-

Enlighten us to the proper way so we can see how much is actually different versus self preservation. Do you have statistical data revealing a trend of differences in results between your way and another?
