So many posts are being locked up in a short amount of time.

Is it just me, or do you guys notice that so many posts have been locked up in a short amount of time. Some idiot just got the brick post locked up, and I remember over the past few days alot of posts were being locked up in general. Is this normal, or is this a relatively recent phenomenon?

Relatively recent i do believe,even though there was probably points in WP's history that stuff like this happened.

Andy most user (I guess) have their account set up to not get
e-mail notices anyway. So you should be able to easily set you account to not get e-mail notices of new posts. I do not have my account set up that way. I keep track of everything in my head.
