I want to ask everyone out here: Who does this thing called power walking? It is defined on wikipedia as "Power walking or speed walking is the act of walking with a speed at the upper end of the natural range for walking gait, typically 7 to 9 km/h (4.5 to 5.5 mph)."

I do this a lot, whether I'm at a wide open space, like a park, for example.

I do that... not really because it's more intensive (it is though), but because running makes me nauseous and gives me asthma.

I often walk fast. It is good for you. Exercises the leg muscles very well.

I tend to walk slow or fast but I don't think my normal fast pace is quite as fast as power-walking. My GP told me to do the powerwalk thing for 20minutes a day 5days a week. I mentioned it in that Low Blood Pressure post I made & this is a CLIKCY LINK. I've been getting that much in on average excluding for a week bcause I hurt my foot which is alot better now.

whomever invents power sleeping, will have the whole world beat a path to his or her door.
