I have a strong history in my family of metal illness,on both sides. I have bipolar disorder and autism.

My mom is nero diverse as well as many others in my family are ...... or were.

Does anyone else have nero diverse parents or family members? Does it make things harder or easier on you?

My dad has nonverbal learning disorder, and maybe AS but if so it's not apparent enough to meet DSM guidelines. I'd be highly surprised if my mom weren't obsessive-compulsive.

My parents are neurotypical, though I have a younger cousin on my dad's side of the family whose autistic, who lives in the same town as me, and apparently three autistic cousins on my mom's side that I have never met.
