I am so glad I found this place.
Recovering from a long shut down. Slept for almost 2 days. Called off from work today and probably will tomorrow too.
This place is my new therapy. A way to socialize without having to go out into the world. It's a good way to ease into the inevitability of having to be around people again.
With a few exceptions, everyone on here seems really caring, understanding and encouraging. And so accepting of others' differences and lifestyles.
Of course I already expected there to be some sarcastic and cynical comments lol. I myself am probably guilty of that.
I hope to make some good friends here :)

This place really is great! People here are nice, helpful, and make me feel like I fit in! Even though I am only pretty sure I've got Asperger's, everybody seems willing to accept that I deal with the same things as they do and help me. I've never felt more like part of a group.

This website really is wonderful. You are right about the people on this website being caring and understanding. It feels nice to have somewhere where a bunch of people share and understand my diagnosis. This truly is a helpful website with helpful people.

Just took a look at my own join date.
Two years for me, too.

I don't quite have the pedigree of those aabove me, but rest assured, I'm here to stay now. This place really does have a supportive atmosphere and sense of community. I just wish it had a real life equivalent.

It is a lot like therapy, only difference for me personally is that it actually helps! :)

Agreed. Local meet-ups would be cool; a national event would be too.
