Do you listen to Internet Radio??

Most Internet Radio stations are AD-FREE!

The best way to listen to Internet Radio is to check out the SHOUTcast Internet Radio Directory! It has over 10,000 stations for you to listen to!

You will need a "player" for your PC in order to listen, such as: Winamp / iTunes / XMMS...

I listen to live 365, espicially Sonic Radio, and IJ Dee-Vo's Varity. The last has a sometimes interesting site with song parodies and pc vs macs on it.

Sonic the hedgehod of course.

I listen to freeform and college radio streams.

My favorites are those coming from WFMU, (NYC/Northern NJ area) and WMBR (MIT college radio from Cambridge/Boston, Ma.)

I love Pandora. http://pandora.com

You create your own "stations" based on an artist or song. Pandora chooses songs that are similar to what you selected using an algorithm based on certain characteristics of the artist or song. You can veto any song you don't like and approve any song you really like to "train" the program. The ads are onscreen, no sound, little movement. There's a trial period after which you have to register, but everything's free and of course you can enter bogus info.

I love Sky FM, the ambient ultra lounge radio.

By the way, am I the only person who thinks the Jonas Brothers are gayer than Richard Simmons?

I listen to two eighties stations - Sky and 977. But I only know how to listen to them when I'm using Linux.

The ads are pretty ridiculous, though - "make money by doing nothing" spiel  .

Barakan Beat on OTONaMazu.com, Japan's first internet radio station. It's an English broadcast.

Peter Barakan is a Brit living in Japan and is into all kinds of music: classic rock, blues, jazz, folk and world. He is fascinating and very knowledgeable.

His hour-long show airs in Japan on Sundays at 11:00am; that's Saturday at 8:00pm Pacific Standard Time.

You will need Player365. The link above will lead you to the download location.

Previous shows are archived here. You may use Windows Media Player or Real Player.

Playlists are on this page. (The playlists are in English.)

Thanks for asking . . . 8)
