Asperger Quotient vs Autism Quotient

In my test results, I read that my Asperger Disorder Quotient is 88. It didn't say Autism Quotient. Is this the same thing as an AQ?

I'm in the 21st percentile for Apserger's, 63 percentile for "cognitive patterns" and 1st percentile for social interaction. What do those last two mean?

Completely unrelated note:
I am very happy that Alex Plank created this website years ago, or else right now, I think that I'd be doing something confusing and upsetting for some reason. This website has made me feel very happy and surrounded by people that share certain traits with me.

How did you find out your Asperger Quotient? 8O

Asperger's syndrome has been merged with Autism Spectrum Disorder, so Asperger's these days is conventionally defined as a numerical part of the wider range of AQs.

What test are you referring to?


Something "Welscher," I think that is te way it's spelled. It was an oral test by a psychologist

It is not the same thing. The Asperger's Disorder quotient is obtained from the Gilliam Asperger's Disorder Scale (GADS). This is a tool used by the clinician to rate their patient.
A score higher than 80 means that is highly probably that you have Asperger's.

The cognitive patterns is a subscale of this test.

Sensitivity: .76 - .96
specificity: .60 - .80


PS: I think it is the GADS because is the only tool that uses the word "Disorder".

What does the sensitivity and specificity part mean? Yes, it was GADS I believe.

Sensitivity: the percentage of people who are correctly identified as having the condition (Aspies diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome).

Specificity: the percentage of people who are correctly identified as not having the condition (Non-autistic people not diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome).
