Some chillout and ambient?..new age is also good, but only sparingly really. Share what you think, my mind is a blank right now. If you have a good list or some vids to post I'd love to share people's interests, maybe some have more personally efficient musical solutions than others.

Brian Eno's "Apollo" album is very gentle, ambient music that wouldn't be too distracting while studying and such. Although personally I could never stand to have anything but silence -- still, that one wouldn't be too bad I think.

Depends on what mood I'm in.
I usually listen to radio shows though like Sherlock Holmes, Desert Island Discs and Dad's Army. I find them less distracting than music.
If I need motivating then happy Disney songs usually help e.g. I'm Almost There, I'll Make A Man Out of You.

I think Tangerine Dream's "Stratosfear" is a really good one.

Minimalism is pretty good, it doesn't typically have a lot going on at once so it isn't distracting. Here's some minimalist pieces by Arvo Part:

Baroque is another good one as well. Perfectly suited for concentration, in my opinion! Here's a couple good selections to try:
