I can't deal with loud noises and my friends can't really understand why I plug my ears all the time and I've been having trouble explaining why I do weird s**t like this to my friends and girlfriend. Anyone have any advice or stories?

Sadly, no advice, but I have issues with very specific sorts of noises - I absolutely cannot stand the sound of a common doorbell, it feels like someone is tasering me, even if it's coming from the television. Car horns are the same way, they cause physical pain to my entire nervous system.

Sudden loud noises are like small seizures, my entire body clenches, starting from the spine and radiating outward. :shaking:

As a younger person I experienced this a lot and all I can say is there simply is no better explanation to others than you're sensitive to loud noises and that they bother you. People will have to take that explanation and grow to understand/ respect it. :)
