The reason for this post is that I have been told so many times that people have never met anyone else like me before. I am SURE that there must be other people like me out there.

We can either try to "fit in" with the rest of society, or we can be so egocentric that we can't be bothered.
I choose the actor. I observe NT's. I listen to their socializing. I practice it, so in social situations I can just emulate/mimic what is expected.
It isn't natural for me, but it enables me to "fit in".
It is VERY tiring and draining, but at least we can appear like them even though it is an act. Like being on the stage.
They can't see it is emulation, and so we are accepted.

I'm as unique as it gets. I really don't feel like I fit in anywhere although I do get some sense of acceptance here on Wrong Planet.

Every single person is unique, simply because no two are exactly alike. For example, even same-sex twins have different fingerprints.

But some people's fingerprints may differ by a single line or two, while others may have an entirely different shape and pattern altogether. I think that most people out there would claim to be unique if asked, but very few truly are...we're all a lot more alike than we often like to admit.

We're all similar, but all 7 billion of us have certain aspects that are different from everyone else. We all have different personalities, and we're all shaped by the things that we encounter. Material characteristics which may not differ that much lead to very distinctive lived experiences, and those can take us down entirely different paths and turn us into very different people.
