I'm at least average. I guess I got sick of the alternative.

I can stand up for others, rarely myself.

No one ever taught me how to stand up for myself, so my answer is no.

I can stand up for myself and others about half of the time. Other times I keep quiet because I don't know the consequences of my actions.

I can't, it's is one of the reasons for my passivity.
(I assume the phrase has non-literal interpretation, thanks to Linguee).

I tend to be rather passive, so no, not really. And when I do try to stand up for myself, I tend to get overly excited and make a fool of myself.

It's very hard for me to stand up for myself. It may be my worst quality.

This for the most part, for most of my life. But now? I can stand up for myself better than ever. I'm still cautious and a bit passive, though.. ie the other day when someone was screaming in my face about knocking me out blah blah I just didn't say anything and walked away from it. I don't need an assault charge for punching out some dumb kid. Besides, I knew he was all fired up and I strategically gave him just enough rope to hang himself.. as he proceeded to go into the boss' office to complain about me & ended up getting himself fired. :)

Sometimes I can but not always. I think it depends on the topic and how comfortable or secure I am with it.

This is funny on one level but very profound on another. Good food for thought Cody.

I don't know what's appropriate for the situation, so I'm more often than not passive.

Supposedly, I responded too greatly in the past several times [and got in trouble for it].

So, I go with what's safe, and that's passive.

This has happened to me many times also. It makes it confusing and sometimes makes me insecure about what to do in a situation.
