He really liked human culture which I felt was a bit strange

I think Q would have paraphrased Spiderman's uncle Ben. "With great power comes great boredom."

He was fascinated because humans had to struggle and strive, although not as much as we do today in some ways, but had a little maturity and common sense at last after thousands of years of dark ages and killing each other.

I can relate to Q as I wish I could hitch a ride on the Enterprise.

Q was one of the best characters.

Q is equal parts entertaining and annoying. He is responsible for some great star trek episodes ("Q Who", "Tapestry") and some not so great ones.

Trying to analyze the Q is nonsensical. It's like trying to understand humans from how we act in video games.

Always nice to see John DeLancie show up in other series like The West Wing, Stargate, and Breaking Bad.
