Actually, I know how to do, just do not know how to do that Excel 1995 is not interpreted as a number but as a date.

I have to do a journal bibliometric analysis of one respected Polish Library science journal for years 1995-2013

I use Excel extensively for data. Anyway, you first will need to format your cells so you can input dates not shown as numbers:

Right click - - format cells - - as text. Then enter your information.

You can make tables/charts by merging cells as necessary, underlining, etc. under the formatting tab.

Might have to enter a validate 'date' too, even if it is Jan 1, 200X.

Dates are actually DateTime(s), a data type that is found in Visual Basic and C#. A date just happens to be an DateTime that the fractional part is all zeroes.
