When I stim, I find thin headbands and hangers around the house. I put them between my fingers and then start flicking them up, down, or side to side. Whenever I flick, I feel relaxed and content with myself. I also do it after long social situations to recharge and get my social energy back.

I Flick my wrist in such a way that my thumb bumps against my index or middle finger; pace in a tight circle of a couple feet; dis align my vision and then line up the double imaging (works great for eye contact, you can make people have four eyes, somehow makes it easier to maintain); rapid blinking if I'm in an uncomfortable social situation; if I'm nervous in a store, I might repeat a comforting phrase under my breath until I feel calm. More stereotypical stims, like rocking or flapping, only if I'm extremely upset or excited.
