Didn't this guy's organization target schoolchildren for bombings? I'm not sure I'd want to send off someone like that.

While Mandela had belonged to the African National Congress, he was hardly responsible for every one of their actions, and was even opposed to many of their actions. And it has to be recalled that the ANC had been carrying out questionable activities while Mandela had been in prison for a number of years - making him guiltless.

Mandela has been such a huge inspiration and symbol of hope. May he inspire future generations of leaders around the world.

There was a song about him I remember as a kid, though I can't remember where I heard it. Nevertheless, it's been going through my head all day. This is the best version I could find on YouTube, from an Austrian choir:

Nelson Mandela is dead at age 95.

He had a very good run.

He prevent his country from turning into a racially motivated slaughterhouse and for that he will be and should be remembered for a blessing.

R.I.P. Nelson Mandela. I hope your nation follows your heart.

Rest in peace, and then rise in glory.

We may not mourn you, Mr. Mandela; we will miss you.

I see You live in Johannesburg what's it like there now with Mandela dead?

All I've seen on the news from Johannesburg is people dancing out in the streets and celebrating Mandela.

I knew a bunch of guys a few years back that ran a medical marijuana shop, they had the coolest pitbull named Dizzle so I'll accept what you say as truth. It's official he was a clone. Abraham Lincoln also was secretly a ninja, don't tell anyone.

Like he only hunted vampires......

When did Mandela order the deaths of thousands of people? When did Bin Laden work to free millions of people?

Well, they *were* both terrorists. Difference is, Osama was still a terrorist when he died, whereas you could use the past tense for Mandela before his death.
