I'm not convinced about telepathy, although I've had my share of "Wow, I just thought that" and other experiences without any way of determining proof.
But a couple of Christmases (sp?) ago I got a "stocking stuffer" of 25 playing cards with 5 each of square, plus sign, circle, triangle, and star shapes and the idea was the dealer picked up the first card, concentrated on it, and you were supposed to guess the hidden shape on the card. When my turn came I started out not guessing any but 1/2 way through the dealer got excited and asked the person to their left to watch as they continued to draw cards and I continued to guess. When we got done the dealer said she got excited because she saw I was actually guessing (correctly) the shape on the card "coming up next" and NOT the card in hand. They said there was a sequence of about 5 to 6 cards, and a separate 3 to 4 card series I guessed correctly in this way.
I threatened great bodily harm if they were tricking me, but they swore it was true. (No history of tricking by these people in the past (Spouse and progeny).
I was a math major in college and, even without running the actual numbers, I know this was not possible unless there was something besides "luck" operating here.
Any ideas?
