How much younger than your age do you look?

I am told by people I look around 10 years younger than I am. This has happened to me a number of times since going out and about. People ask me my age, I tell them and they are surprised that I am 38 as they seemed to think I was in my late 20s at the most. I get the "wow, I didn't think you were *that* old" comment.

I have a young looking face it seems.

I don't use lotions, potions and creams so it's not that. I don't wear make up often so its not that. I assuming its genetic. My mum used to look young too.

How old do you look?

5 years I think.

My mom is 65-ish and looks 50-ish.

I look a few years younger than I am.
If I shave I lose anywhere between five and ten years more.

I'd say I looked about five years younger than my age until I started balding. I now shave my head and grew a beard and suddenly people treat me like an adult, I don't get carded, etc. Being bald at 30 I don't know if I look 30 or older (since balding is associated with older age)? Either way, I quite like it.

I'm 35 and have been told I look 30. My dad's 80 and looks early 60s. My mom's 71 and looks early 60s.

I grew a beard to age myself up a bit... Right now I only look a few years younger, without it I guess at least 5 years younger...

I voted "I look older" because I look older unless I shave. But I'm considering that "I am not old enough to look younger than my age yet".

I'm 41. I resemble 35. I feel 50.

I am actually 26 years old, but I look like I am 16 years old.

I've no idea. I've been told I look younger, but I've no idea how much younger I look.

People always seem surprised when I tell them how old I am, and say they thought I was younger. They don't usually say how much younger, though... I'd guess between five and ten years, depending on how rumpled I look that day.

Then again, last year my Mum (whom I visit about once a year) told me that some of her friends had estimated that I was in my early 20s... I was 42 at the time. But I suspect that goes beyond 'looking younger' and into 'seems wildly immature' territory.

10 years at least. I am 35 but people still sometimes mistake me for a college student.

I have been told once that I looked about 25 years younger than I am. My mom and dad look younger than they are too but not as much younger for their ages as I look for mine. My husband looks young too.
