Here in Great Britain in the 1960s, educational films had far more important issues to educate small boys about than how to be polite. You Americans dont know your born.

Phil was the last one done. He wiped his hands and mouch carefully with his napkin. Then he cleaned the table where he sat.

Dang it Phil!, C'mon you're holding everyone up!

Oh yeah, and "technically" that movie was made in 1960 (MCMLX)

I remember Temple Grandin saying how back in the days they used to make TV shows about social skills and manners to teach kids and that was how she learned hers. I also remember learning lot of socialness in school and manners and it was in special ed and when I attended a school for kids with developmental delays ages 3-5 and I also learned it in speech therapy when I was in mainstream. It seems like this isn't taught in regular class to normal kids and it's only taught in special schools and special ed and in therapy. In fact parents are expected to teach their kids those things, not the school. But it seems like those skills are forgotten by lot of people.

Mike Patton is awesome. Did you see his band in 1985 when they were in high school? They had no hopes of winning and got 2nd place.

It's hilarious.

Being polite does not mean people will like you!

I am very polite, always say please and thank you, give old people my seat on the bus, mind my manners and so on.

I was raised by a mother born in 1931 who was very big on being polite.

I still get bullied..I get bullied because I am too smart, or I am eccentric or different etc.

being polite won't mean you are accepted socially.
