Did you always have an internal monologue when did it start

i am not sure what it is, when i talk to people i am always thinking, mostly either about what the person i am talking to is saying or how bored i am, what i want for lunch, what class i have next etc.

its one thing that's always confused me the idea of having a social monologue of what you need to do and say because it does not come naturally, do people actually do this?

Always.

I can certainly remember it aged 11 and assume it was there aged 7 if not before.
