I was wondering if anyone in the uk has applied for dsa ?

I got DSA when I started university.

i'm thinking of applying but the process looks like too much hassle

I can't remember it being too much hassle really.

I just went for an interview to be assessed and then I waited a couple of weeks and I got loads of stuff to help me study.

I have dyslexia, adhd and AS. So I got extra time for exams and a reader, extra time for library loans. a computer and printer and a voice recorder because I can't take notes.I could also claim back any money I spent on books, paper, printer ink etc.

Also you can claim for all your travel expenses too. I didn't because I cycle.

I get DSA.

I got loads of equipment, nearly free taxis to and from uni, extra time and a room of my own for exams, a full-time support worker for uni, and Irlen lenses.

It's not a huge hassle and definitely worth it.

Yeah, I got the room on my own for exams too.
