It's your body saying, "Take me to a doctor" -- seeing a doctor is highly recommended.

I have got absolutely no idea what so ever and I'm not going to speculate, but, there is a women's discussion sub-forum.

For me it's either a medication side effect or caffeine or too much excitement.

I very rarely get hot flashes too. I just chalk it up to fluctuating hormones. Just to be on the safe side, you might want to talk to your doctor about it though.

I am a guy, but this has happened to me several times during the past year. For me, I believe the cause is anxiety. It only occurs when I am in a social situation where I feel very uncomfortable (i.e. much more so than normal). And, I start to perspire profusely. The more I think about it, the hotter I become.

Thankfully, this does not occur often. I am still trying to understand what precisely triggers this to happen. Because it does happen infrequently.

Does anyone getting these drink a lot of soda water? It's probably the sodium.

That happened to me a lot in social situations too especially in class when I was a younger teen & older kid & hormones were adjusting. I blushed a lot too but I quit that by the time I graduated high-school. My anxiety is a lot better including social thanx to working & things that had me get more out there & medication. I still get hot flashes if I got nervous thou like riding on a noisy crowded bus makes me feel claustrophobic like as well but I take Klonopin before going out when I think I might be on one of those buses & it helps. I get hot flashes when I'm not nervous too like when I'm not going out that day or went out earlier & relaxing while watching TV or on computer but I may of always been like that.
