It strikes me that I'm not going to know who the heck most of the new characters are this time around.

I know Megaman and Palutena, and it's obvious where the Wii Fit girl is from, but.....

All of the others, I havent the faintest idea who they are or what you're all talking about.

OK, I'm pretty sure he's trolling now. I have this feeling he's just teasing us now. (Or he just coincidentally felt like showing Kid Icarus suddenly after the leak. My bets it's on the former though.)

Rosalina is from the Mario series, and one of the few with a backstory. Villager is from the Animal Crossing series and is basically a avatar.

Would just paste pictures, but while a picture is worth a thousand words, knowing about them is more than those thousand words.

So apart from having Viridi, Goddess of Nature as a stage on 3DS, there will likely be some variation of Palutena's Palace on Wii U. That is so troll in no official announcement. If I could make out if there us a super star on it, that would prove the legitimacy of the leak, but the response seems pretty obvous as I imagine it would pretty bad if it was just fake.

But since this is a Wii U stage, I wonder if they are hinting that he has secretly been working on a Kid Icarus title for that console. With both these games I would probably buy a Wii U.

Well, I heard people say that the faces match, as well as the staff designs matching, while being different from Uprising...if the leak is real, that person is probably enduring Sakurai's wrath as you read this text.

Or it is a carefully timed marketing ploy that may be more creative than we would expect from him. It is hard to believe that the supposed leak would happen so close to these pictures getting out, that there seems to be something about it every couple of days: A supposed 3DS leak of a new playable character which did not say much, a 3DS screen capture from a level involving someone of the same level as that character, and then a screen capture of statue of the possible new fighter in a new level for the Wii U. It would be a smart move to get the internet spread the word.

It is hard to say how it will increase from there, but I hope there will be a video posted that perhaps follow Rosalina's example and kind of troll her introduction, probably involving Zelda, who along with Rosalina was in the Viridi picture.
