I also remember her very well. I wish that I could have done something to help her.

It's always a waste when some takes his/her own life. It's a waste of everything.

I don't tipping I was a member or active when she was, but this is heart breaking to read!

I had a good friend take thier life when I was 19 it has really left it's mark on me and I have never ever been the same sense!

I know the thoughts you are having the guilt the fear because I live with it everyday! I am so afraid of not doing enough or not taking action when I think somone I know might kill themselves and likely would apply to a stranger too that I have to do everything in my power to stop them to help them. It has Ben extremely painful and has gotten me hurt at least once and nearly hurt, drained and burnt out on a few other occassions :(

I really hope it isn't affecting you like this because I would never want anyone else to live with that manner of reaction that I do!

Honestly there was no way you could have known and I don't think you could have stopped it :(

It's been seven years since it happened, and I'm doing perfectly well.

Yikes, I didn't know anything like that happened here.

I go to a Russian church. I'll light a candle for her next time I go.

Aww, that's very sweet of you.

So I heard, although I've no idea how successful she was with it. I remember once, though, when she said she was thinking of hurting herself, telling her that I thought having taught oneself a foreign language, especially one as complex as Russian, was very ambitious, and that it sounded like she was too full of life seriously to want a way out of it. I speak Russian, too, so I know what learning it entails. Learning that she had died was a shock.

I remember her. I'm shocked to hear that she passed away, what a terrible thing to happen to such a young life, and under those circumstances.

I know that she did have the basic numbers down. Actually have a recording of her reciting them to me on my computer.

I remember her, remember reading of her death and that of her boyfriend at the time(he killed himself prior to her suicide) and still think about her fairly often. She had things besides Aspergers that made her life a lot more difficult.

I never knew her, but I hope she's found peace.

I remember you well too and was quite glad to see you still around here.
I finally got my formal diagnosis last month which is one reason I returned :)

Ahh okay! I've pretty much moved on from WrongPlanet, but it's nice to see some old faces from way back when. I'm pretty much non-active on here, I'm only in this thread because I have email notifications set for it; figured I could be of help for those who want to know more about Sophie.

I have read over 500 blog posts she made and it made me understand her to such a deeper level. She was way more special than I am- nearly every day if I’m not drowning in my own s**t do I wonder if she would’ve been better off living than me. She was amazing. I admire anyone here and love you dearly if you knew her blog or in person or telekinesis… thank you for loving her. She was and always will be amazing. Pls dm if you have anything you’d like to share w someone who was in her life. <3
