I hate the words "fanboy" and "fangirl". They're usually used to describe fanatics of something, even when said fans aren't totally biased.

Horrible word - suits the stuff really well!

Annoying
ret*d
ret*d
Over-sensitive
Wimp

All of these words have been used to describe me. The last two in particular really grind my gears.

"Awesome" too overrated, overused, and used in situations it doesn't apply, and hate when it is said in a particular accent

Yolo
Thankfully I think people are using this word less often nowadays. A few years ago people couldn't stop using this word, and it was irritating.

It's "apparently". It's just as misused as "ironic" and "literally". It's supposed to mean "obviously", but people keep using it when they are is unsure something is obvious or not.

I also hate anything that starts with the hashtag symbol, unless it's a number. #this, #that, Arrrrgh! :wall:

And please do not say "lol" offline when you find something funny. Is something is funny enough to make you laugh out loud, then do that. Jeez.

I can't stand the word ret*d. :wall:

proactive

Yeah, let's make up a problem that doesn't exist and spend our time and energy on it. Let's see how much real good we can ruin in the process. Let's be proactive.

(It seems the system will not allow me to post my word of choice as it has been used recently? Here is the word: Y-O-L-O

... yes I hate this word also, just like someone above also stated.

I used to have a part-time job as a paid, forum Moderator for a site that catered primarily to girls between 10-15; the site revolved around a popular book series aimed at that demographic.

The point of the site was for them to come and post about and discuss the books (although, it was obvious to me that it was a marketing scheme to keep them hooked and sell them future, upcoming publications :? ).

My point is, "Yolo": Not only is it sickeningly trendy (they used it non-stop in their posts  ), but it is in a sense Nihilistic and sad; sad that a 12-Year old girl has already seemingly given up on life at this point so, "Do whatever you want - Nothing matters anyway." At least that is how I interpret it. :|

I'm with anyone who has said "awesome". Yuck.

"I was awesome once and it was awful" (something Grumpy Cat would say).

I don't hate any words but hate the context some are being used for.

I'm not a fan of curse words.
