I've either burned out or this is a severe shutdown.

I am only part time verbal now; talking is rather difficult.
I have mostly withdrawn into myself.
I dread any social interaction I will have soon.
Sensory issues are bad.

How do I get this across to the NTs in my house, who are rather ignorant, uneducated people? And how can I explain to the carer, who has hardly any clue about autism as well.

I could sleep for days but I have to go to Croydon today. Dreading it.

Just tell them that you are sick and need your space. NTs can get sensory and social issues when they are sick as well.
