Yay, spring has sprung again, which means that it's almost time for the annual family Pancake-Off. Surely there will be lots of taste-testers needed at said competition. :)

The sun is also back, which means that I can finally wear shorts.
:sunny: :bounce:

As an FYI to those in the Northern Hemisphere: The official start of spring is March 20. :) Mark your calendars.

Spring means nettles and I've picked loads of them and will attempt to make soup tonite after mr. guzzle comes home because I seem to be unable to replace the batteries in the scales to weigh out my ingredients

Lol, did make last year's nettle soup. Bit early for those now.
Gonna get some sweet peas in soon to climb the arch we've been given.
And plant the bulbs that should have gone in by December
Do you garden Equestriatola?

I am so ready for spring. Being able to go outside without a coat...yes please.

Doesn't look like it's going to be anytime soon, though. Where I live, there's still a LOT of snow.

We haven't had any snow for a few years now. Can't say I mind though :)

Ugh we won't have flowers in full bloom here until sometime in April!

I'm looking forward for Spring not just because of the warmer weather, but because I am getting married in April. I am so excited! :D

Up here in the Vancouver area, Winter skipped us almost entirely this year. The local ski mountains are all closed - no snow all the way to the peaks. It's been about 9C all week w/ no rain. I spent a little time outside the last few days, and have been sitting outside suntanning in a pair of shorts all afternoon today. Flowers are blooming all over the place - my favourite are cherry blossoms.. and there are thousands and thousands of cherry blossom trees all over the city that bloom at different times throughout the Spring & Summer. 8)

Whoa. Did not know there were places like that in Canada.

Here are some random google image search results for cherry blossoms Vancouver:

And one of the links reminded me - Vancouver actually has a "Cherry Blossom Festival" now that lasts for a couple weeks, I think. I don't know if they actually DO anything to put on a bit of a party or anything, or if it's just a couple weeks to officially recognize the flowers.. just encouraging people to tour around the city and see them in bloom, that sort of thing. I also think it's been created because the wealthy Chinese immigrants here have a bit of a thing for cherry blossoms, which is cool.
