Where are those scoundrels?

Where are those beautiful idiots hiding?

I have a craving to swallow them down whole like an owl

Struggling and screaming and not realising the hole that their in

Where are they now?

Those moronic clowns.


Why can't they play anymore?

My teeth are sharper than ever

and my claws are howling for imbecilic whining

I'd love to play with them now

toss them up in the air

crunch down on their bones before they hit ground


Where are the clowns?

those undeniable disturbing, perturbing and catastrophically annoying young things?

suddenly I miss their noisy endeavour

where are they now?

...because it's practically a poem (and very good, too).

I don't like it on first reading but it seems like a work of art I could come back to over and over and get something new from each time. I agree, very good. Very evocative of things I don't want to feel.

Are you ok to say, what did you intend to convey?

I like it. It reminds me of Pennywise.

It is a poem, random thoughts have been surfacing in my subconscious recently inspired by earlier skirmishes and battles fought (and won) with the little devils. It's pure nostalgia plus a bit of schadenfreude!

I should have worked on it and reworked it and finished it before presenting it, there whole chunks missing, but last night I just sat down and let it out.

Trouble with your poem is it causes the reader's mind to slip into that Steven Sondheim song from "A Little Night Music": 'Bring in the Clowns".
