Hoping there are some older Aspies on board. We didn't get a diagnosis as a younger person, and have had to bungle through life. Greetings to one and all. :)

Hey Dino, 47 here, and always thought I was normal, but weird-mean. Well, that's one interpretation. Welcome to the tribe!

Hi YowlingCat and welcome to WP.
I'm 47 and just discovered last year that AS was the reason for my eccentricity.
You'll find a number of Dino-Aspies here and a lot of members in general who like cats,
if I interpret your username accurately.

Welcome! I totally dig the concept of "DinoAspies". I too, am from the pre-asperger-historical-strata of folks you'll find on WP. I am 48. It is very good to hear from our demographic. I hope you enjoy it here.

I'm 50, just realized it last year. There's a lot of the over 30 crowd here.

Wonderful to see so many older Aspies! More elders of the forum out there? And Squier, thank you for the welcome. A friend is a friend is a friend, at any age. And I love your red sprite avatar!

I was just diagnosed 2 weeks ago. I'm just a few months shy of that half-century mark. To say that life as an undiagnosed Aspie was hard, well, I think it can go without saying.

I never was good at math, so I am not a real scientific guy in spite of my interests in astronomy and meterology. I have that narrow, circumscribed interest to be sure, but I couldn't solve for x to save my life. However, I do like to write, so maybe that's my talent.

Being a dino, my mascot is the Allosaurus. :D

At 53 I may be a petro aspie. I love your term: Dino Aspie. I just found out and am self diagnosed because: 1. I am aspie enough that I needed no help, 2, Lackus casshus, 3. I am a bit ridden with anxiety and paranoia and wouldn't want to trust an NY with my head.

It has been very liberating to find out. WP is wonderful. Welcome to our tribe! Ye been here all along yez jus dinna know it, mon!

:D aspie power!

44 here. I didn't know there was a term for us who are old enough that we were already well into adulthood by the time AS became widely known (thus missing the opportunity to be diagnosed as children).

Cool.

Good to see you all! This is so good for me. I've never had so many similar folks to talk to. The mothership has landed, and here we come! Come on over to the Dino-Aspie Cafe, and get yer free cuppa Dino-joe!
