Anyone else fascinated by 666

Hello everyone. So, I have been a member of WP since December 2012. This marks my 666th post. It’s been my favorite number since I was an engineer, and we used 666 as a crypto key for some program I wrote. Anyway, just curious if anyone else is a fan of the number.

666 is a nice number. I prefer 999.

I am. I always like it when my post count has 666 in it.
The way I post, my WP post count should be 1666 in a few days.

There is no such thing as "a Rapture". (Sorry Christians who believe it) 666 is Nero's number because the book of Revelation was written in order to inform believers of an intense persecution to come, which was Emperor Nero's rule.

So 666 and Revelations don't mean s**t then ? lol Don't apologize to Christians because they don't apologize for taking away people's rights just because their all close minded and stupid

I'm more interested in numbers that look the same upside down.

Actually (surprised I know this) a lot of Christians believe Revelation was entirely
about the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD and Nero etc.
And has nothing to do with a prophecy of modern day events.
But culturally the number 666 carries an evil connotation the same as the number13.
Spooky superstitious stuff like that is amusing to me.

I've never been very good at maths, although some certain numbers manage to get my attention pretty often. This guy is one of them. The way 666 is mathematically formed, it's mechanism and it's importance in mathematics is quite intriguing. These qualities bring it to life. It's really a fascinating number. I'm more fascinated by it's functions rather than it's aesthetic characteristics, though.
