I'm beyond my teenage years, however I often still feel like a teenager.

At the age I am now, almost 27, I still do feel like one, even though they weren't long ago for me.

Interesting notion. May be why I feel the same kind of atmosphere here
as I do in the two teen forums am a member of.

I'm 39 and I still feel like a teenager inside. I'm also living the life that I didn't feel free to live while I was in high school. I wear all the things I couldn't wear in high school, such as the stuff The Kinks wore in the 1960s, and I have my Mick Avory-like hair and features that I honour and embrace. I do the things that I didn't do while faking the hippie life and image over my my last two years of high school. It feels good, so I'll do it for many years to come. If my peers weren't so stupid, I would have been able to be myself over those two years.

I'm only 31 so I probably don't qualify as older but I never felt like a teenager mentally. I never cared about popularity, trends, getting drunk or high, & doing reckless/risky behavior just because or for the sake or being cool. I know I'm behind mentally with where I am in life & other things compared to adults but I don't think I'm on a kid level with things. I do have some interests teens have like spending time on computer posting in forums, listening to music & lots of the shows I like but I just don't feel like a teen even thou I don't feel like an adult or a kid either.

I'm 41, I'm not sure about if I actually feel like a teenager, but the teens and early 20 year olds at work seem to accept me as their own.

It's a bit weird for me really.

I didn't feel like a teenager when I was a teenager.

I am not aware of anything I do that is particularly teenager-like.

There are parts of me, that seem teenager like, but other teenagerstuff I totally missed.

So I still love engaging in my rather inmature hobbies, or visiting music concerts, maybe drink something here and now or as well some moderate drug use from now and then. (Nothing worse, then you were allowed to use in Colorado anyway. ^^)

On the other side, I completely missed that typical teenager treats of engaging in group stuff, flirting, typical partying when it comes to bars or "event-locations"...

So in comparison to others, I was a rather boring teenager, while with the same treats and behavior I am now an rather nerdy adult. (Mother in law could not love at my "Baby on board" - *Alien ripping through my body.* T-Shirt.)

I'm 53 and I still sometimes feel like an 18 year old teenager... though my wife wouldn't be impressed.

YES!! !! !

Apart from a certain sense of calm from accumulated knowledge I still feel the same way that I did when I was 18. Damn it, I'm still DOING the same things including vague walks around town looking at the shops and visits to KFC if I fancy a treat. Certainly my musical tastes haven't changed and there isn't much in the collection from 1990 onwards.

It's the part of 'always being a student at heart' which makes me uncomfortable.

I am 70 years old and still in my pleasing 4 stage of childhood development. So I am a child at heart but a very intelligent child. One who is able masks as a weird adult.

I have never felt like a teenager, even when I was a teenager myself.

Yeah I'm 30 and I feel like a teenager. Sometimes like a kid actually.

The reason I get upset when people treat me like one is 1 it's inaccurate and 2 in terms of intellect, I'm not one. But in terms of social intelligence or in terms of my emotions and what I like, I'm still very young.

Hi. This is a recurring doubt. Many among us don't see ourselves as full grown adults.
