Way back in the olden days long before you were born, when I was a kid like you (so started out my grandpa with every story, LOL) - there used to be a show on tv called The Wonderful World of Disney. It was like a movie every week. I remember two of them were my favorites.

One was about a little Native American boy that wanted to fly with eagles and the other was of course about a cat - the famous Thomasina! Great flicks.

In the movies I liked 101 Dalmatians and Lady and the Tramp.

Tron, which also happens to be my overall favorite Disney film.

It's hard for me to think of non-princess Disney movies. Do the movies A Cinderella Story & Another Cinderella Story count as non-princess movies :?: They're both kind of modern day versions of Cinderella but aren't princess related at all.

Fantasia. I hated it when I was little, but I think it's an amazing movie for its time now. I also always liked Sword in the Stone, even if it is a rip-off of Warner Bros. slapstick.

Do Pixar movies count? They're distributed by Disney...

My favorite has to be Alice in Wonderland (1951). I would watch that a lot on VHS when I was a kid.

Alice: But I don't want to go among mad people!
Cheshire Cat: Oh, you can't help that. Most everyone's mad here. [laughs maniacally and begins to disappear] You may have noticed that I'm not all there myself.

The Mighty Ducks trilogy, even though as a Kings fan, I dislike the team that was later spawned by them.

Pre WWll, it would have to be Pinocchio, or Dumbo. Both have their fair share of scary sequences, particularly Pinocchio with the bad little boys turning into donkeys. Great animation back in the hand drawn days.

Post WWll, it would probably be Mary Poppins, a movie I used to dislike, but after seeing "Saving Mister Banks", I have newfound respect for. Watching the dance sequences closely, and listening to the beauty of Julie Andrew's voice is almost overwhelming.

I didn't know Disney did half the movies that are listed here. Does anyone have a link to a list of every movie Disney did :?: I could make some better picks
