I still need to see The Departed, what I did see that was completely off the hook was Running Scared - other than that Illusionist was pretty good, still want to see The Prestige, nothing's really coming to mind right now...

I had a whole thread about my opinion of films 2006, but my #1 favorite film of the year was "The Fountain." So many people beg for originality in movies, and here comes a completely original film that nobody sees because it "looks weird."
Pan's Labyrinth. BEST. MOVIE. EVER. (I'm sorry, I just had to repeat that.)
Honorable mentions go out to:
- Little Miss Sunshine
- The Departed
- Happy Feet
- Dreamgirls
The worst movie of 2006, out of all the ones I've seen, is The Da Vinci Code. But on the so-bad-it's-good level, my choice is a film called Romeo & Juliet: Sealed With a Kiss, an animated, family-friendly retelling of the Shakespeare tragedy with not only a happy ending, but almost all the characters are sea lions.
