Sounds like they do some kind of RPGs.

He just watched today, but will join in next time.

No special encouragement from us. They had a talk about clubs in school and he decided to do it.

He is brave and I am proud.

Great! I think your kid might like an afterschool club. When you mean RPGs, does that mean like a computer game club? If so, that's a perfect choice for a student. Sounds very fun.
