After weeks of waiting.......
I finally have it!! !
7 and a half weeks. I ordered it on Boxing Day, and only today I finally have it!! !
The book, Doctor Who: The Shooting Scripts. First I thought it'd be just two to three weeks. Then, after a few weeks of frrustration, they said 4-6 weeks. Apparently due to the surrounding BS at Christmas.
But now, I am so f***ing happy, I finally got my hands on it.
Now that's one less thing eating at my mind and sanity. A lesser thing than other issues, certainly, but it takes some of the heat off my sanity. Hell, it might help maintain or even restore it!
Ordering books is a pain, even if you do it through a physical store.

I never thought books would take so long to appear in the mail!
It didn't get mailed to me, but to the ABC Shop I ordered it from. I did something similar for a script book for the entire 3 seasons (+Christmas special) of The League of Gentlemen at another shop in Brisbane (the same one I went to a Terry Pratchett signing on Wednesday). Because of my wariness of ordering stuff online, I generally go to actual stores and ask if I can order through them.
I think the book had to be sent all the way from the UK.........

Oh, I see. It does take ages for people to get things in, especially from over seas.
Yes, but the ABC Shop website said at the time 2-3weeks. Then later, when I was getting pissed off, it said 2-4 weeks. At about 4 weeks, the ABC Shop told me 5-6 weeks. And they have actually taken The Shooting Scripts off the ABC Shop website. Which really does make me wonder.........
That's stupid! Once I won a prize in a magazine, and it took at least a month to get here! I think the people who owned the magazine had to order it in, then send it to me. That is so lame...
