Just signed up. They seem a step up from OKcupid and Plenty of Fish. Any horror stories?

I tried it. Like all dating websites, it depends on who else is on the website. I personally like okcupid better than match.com.

My OKC account is terrible and everyone would remember it even if I changed it now, so I decided on a new pond. I really spruced up my profile.
But I found that the questions on Match made more sense, whatever that's worth. lol It does depend on who else is on at the time.

Best wishes for finding the perfect guy!

In my area (and my age group), the people on Match.com were almost identical to those on POF, on SeniorPeopleMeet, on OurTime, etc. The only one that was not a carbon copy of all the others (as far as membership) was OKC. That's why I ultimately put up a full profile there.

Personally, I think it's worth putting up a free profile on as many sites as possible, to give yourself a chance to browse the largest number of different people. Then, if one site stands out over the others as far as having more of the kind of people you think you'd be compatible with, then throw your money that one site for awhile.

I also know at least one person per site who has met the love of their life through the site. Even know some who met through eHarmony and ChristianMingle (two sites that I, personally, wouldn't use).

They are always the same users; and I seriously wonder how you ladies manage all these tons of messages you receive on several sites. If I receive that much I would just limit it to one dating site.

I know! I had to hire a PA to handle all my OKC correspondence, it's getting completely out of hand!

One way to guarantee you receive no messages is to not post photos. :)

No, it isn't. I get messages, only not tons of them as Boo would suggest. He is right in so much that people on dating sites treat it as a numbers game. Men will message me when they are amused by my profile and are obviously not getting anywhere else so they probably figure it's worth a shot.

Well, so far I've received exactly zero responses. I must not be using the correct "dating language." There seem to be a lot of euphemisms at play.
As for finding the perfect man, he doesn't exist. I'd just like one whose nice.

Are you a gamer? If so, I've found a perfect guy on OKC for those who are in Canada/Toronto area.

Thanks leafplant! He's adorable! But too young for me.

Good gad! They actually read your profile? Only about 1 in 10 that I get a message from has read my profile! I seem to recall you're in the U.K., right? That's where all my best matches seem to be. I believe we already discussed trading places. Maybe I should just go ahead and relocate. LOL

Nah, he's too young and too hot and too clean-shaven for my taste. I like old guys who look like Santa Claus on a diet. :P

Or were you talking to the OP?

What the heck, Beirut, Lebanon can't be that different from Ontario, Canada. But for Boo it might be worth it.
