Just wondering if this happens to anyone else this past week has been my spring break and I had docs appointments everyday so it was totally different from my routine of school homework bed repeat. The funny thing is I really enjoyed being busy and many of the appointments were partial ASD testing which made me happy because finally my parents could start to see thing from my pov but out of nowhere wed and thurs were awful I felt depressed and angry I now feel back to myself but I want to know is this common should I expect more and how long can you guys stay out of your routines before you explode???

Happens to me a lot, I think I can handle something okay, but the closer I get to time to do it, the more panicky I start to feel, until I just can't do it after all and have to cancel. Sometimes having time to get used to a change can help. other times not so much.

As far as how long I can handle a disruption in my routines, usually two or three days is my limit before I cross the boundary from Irritating Inconvenience into Unacceptable Disruption.

This happens to me, but it's not that I get panicky, but more that I just start to sort of shut down. I can't take as much as I thought I could and I get totally exhausted, or can't find anything to say or just need to be alone. Sometimes It's as a though my mind has gone a little numb, or like a fever or flu-like state. In those times every little thing becomes difficult.

It's a shame when this happens more or less at the beginning of some planned activity with other people.

I can usually manage 2-3 days of substantial routing change without much problem. Longer than that and my reserves become exhausted and I will eventually shutdown/meltdown unless I have some days to recover and get my re-centered.

Happens to me too; this Christmas I spent several days doing intense socialising, then finally on the afternoon of Christmas day, I suddenly found myself feeling hot, bothered and really angry with everyone for no reason at all. I removed myself for several hours and re-emerged slightly calmer, but it took a few days for the effects to wear off fully. I often don't notice how overwhelmed I'm getting until I've reached shut-down or borderline meltdown mode, then I notice very quickly that all is not well.
