Sorry bud, but if you don't have the money, then you take what Legal Aid gives you, grin, and bear it.

What maroons some people can be.

Oh, and I can't wait for him to be put in a cell block with a bunch of Nation-of-Islam types. I would love to be a fly on the wall.

Yeah.

Florida

The crime itsself is funny enough (funny strange, and funny ha-ha) even without the strange judicial request.

He attacked his roommate because "his roomate resembled Jesus".

WTF?

Ya mean physically resembled?

Or did he mean that his roomate was acting like a martyr?

If the latter then the attack was ofcourse...JUSTIFIABLE.

But if the former- well-its a novel variation on the theme of mistaken identity.

That south african athlete on trial should have thought of that: "I mistook my girlfriend for Jesus Christ. I thought that Jesus Christ had just broken into and entered my house so I believed I HAD to defend my life by shooting first and asking question later!

So you are saying you would enjoy seeing physical harm come to someone simply because you disagree with their ideology? And what is your religion? If you tell me that you are believer in God at the same time wishing physical harm on another human being, for any reason at all, I say your spirituality has no integrity.

Tough sh!t for him. You get what the state assigns to your case or pay for your own out of your own pocket. Who do some of these idiots think they are?

And he's on trial for what? He attacked a roommate simply because he "resembled Jesus"? I really don't see how this man would think that atheist attorney would be any more sympathetic to what he did than a religious one. Does he honestly think that atheists agree with attacking other people because of what they look like?

That sounds like an awesome idea for a reality TV show.
