When I get cuts on my body, putting on bandages just makes things worse. What should I do?

try gauze wrapped the whole way around the affected area. then put the tape on the gauze, not on your skin.

I have a friend who is allergic to the sticky stuff used on bandaids ot make them stick. I've also known people who are allergic to the material some bandaids are made from.

Do you know what part of the bandaid you're allergic to?

Not the bandages but if I use Neosporin or Polysporin on the scratch/wound or under the bandage
it doesn't heal and the entire area gets red and white bumps appear. If left to continue the scratch/wound gets worse and worse.

I now use Mupirocin, which doesn't include the antibiotics in the others and works great without any reaction.

I just use toilet paper and a rubber band to hold it with. TP cauterizes the wound better and I can take it off in less then an hour. Works great for finger cuts.
