No, he isn't going to get elected, but he might just get enough support that his input is not even acceptable but even sought after when it comes time for formulation of the Republican campaign planks.
And while Leaders of the Republican party may not be genuinely anti-education, they still have catered to such persons, especially in regard to the tea party, and the way Fox noise talks down to their viewers (Here's an actual quote from one of Fox's blonde bimbos regarding Obama's department Czars: "I looked up the word Czar, and it means king!").

Things like this make me sad I don't have Fox News here. It sounds hilarious.
Whether Czar means king or emperor is probably debatable.

Actually, Czar is Russian for Caesar, but Fox has such contempt for their audience that they figure their viewers don't know what the f*ck who or what a Caesar is.

I think the blonde bimbo on "Faux Noise" was close enough. On one hand I can't beleive you've decended to this level of shitpicking but on the other hand it's the kind of desperation that indicates the level of your obsession with a news source whose biggest crime is not being liberal.

Compared to whom?

Compared to the general population. Athough I probably should have left out intelligent.
There have been quite a few done by various groups and they are all similar. Their rates of higher education are around 1.5 times that of the general population. They get significantly higher numbers of general education questions correct. They make significantly more money and hold much higher positions in organizations.

That being said, here are some other numbers:

Around 10-15% of Americans self identify as Tea Party supporters.
Around 90% are white.
Less than 1% are black.
3/4 are over the age of 45.
Around 30% are over 65.
Around 60% vote exclusively Republican.
60% protestant. 40% self identified evangelicals.
Over 60% believe that Obama has raised taxes (despite the fact that the majority in the US got a tax cut)
1/4 believe violent action against the government would be justified
Over 60% rely on Fox News for their political information
Over 80% believe the Tea Party movement reflects the views of most Americans
Over 90% believe that Obama is a socialist
Nearly 1/3 think Obama was born in another country
Around 2/3 believe climate change is a myth

And my favorite:
3/4 believe reducing the size of government is more important than creating jobs (despite the fact that over 60% approve of Social Security and Medicare)

100% of them are blissfully unaware that their entire movement is financed and organized by 501C3's with money trails that lead back to the Koch Brothers and their fellow Legion of Doom members.

I wouldn't say 100%, but I do suspect that most of the tiny percentage that do know, don't know the extent.

Just for the record, most of the Koch political empire is run through 501(c)(4)s, which provide more loopholes for identity protection to individual donors. From what I have been able to track down, the Koch brothers are heavily involved with at least 10 well funded super PACs, all of which have wholly owned trusts and subsidiaries in the state of Delaware (which are not required to disclose any names other than a single individual setting them up).

You gotta love minimally restrained capitalism. How else would the "most talented, hard working, and successful" people be able to buy their well deserved majorities in legislative bodies in states across the country and the House in DC (and possibly the Senate come midterm elections)?

I guess we have the best government money can buy.

Any other news agency would give their audience credit for knowing what a Czar is, but as I said before, Faux (and this is confirmed by a former bimbo who had parted ways with the Republican party's mouthpiece) considers their viewership to be made up of mouthbreathers. Keith Olbermann of MSNBC had had a million dollar vocabulary, and he never disrespected his audience by dumbing it down.

/\You really, REALLY think that was intentional and meant to insult the audience? If so then it must mean they're on to the fact that so many liberals watch them so they had to dumb it down a little for them. That is IF it was even the intent to dumb it down for anyone, which is grasping at straws. Really, how long are you going to keep beating yourself up with this?

Fox holds their audience in contempt, it's not a matter of them actually going out of their way to denigrate them. This is something said by a former on the air bimbo. And yes, I know what you're going to say - that she's just a disgruntled employee. Well, an ex employee can be disgruntled, and still tell the truth.

Yeah, you and your liberal pals would certainly know how they treat their audience.......

Uh huh, but being disgruntled gives them a good reason to lie.

But we have examples of that contempt for the audience to back up this former employee's claims - such as having to tell their viewers how Czar means "king." Anyone who has to explain such a thing to their audience obviously doesn't hold said viewer's smarts in high regard.

Funfact: Rick Santorum has earned more university degrees than Obama has, yet insists that Obama is a snob for having the ones that he does.

Typical political mud slinging. It's not like the democrats don't do their share....

and yet Santorum is so out of touch with reality and delusional as to deny the fact of evolution, even though the church he belongs to accepted it as scientific fact decades ago.

Santorum is actually not a mainstream Catholic, but belongs to that cultish Latin Mass sub-sect that is known for their Antisemitism, and believes Protestants are damned to hell.
