I choose the actor. I observe NT's. I listen to their socializing. I practice it, so in social situations I can just emulate/mimic what is expected.
It isn't natural for me, but it enables me to "fit in".
It is VERY tiring and draining, but at least we can appear like them even though it is an act. Like being on the stage.
They can't see it is emulation, and so we are accepted.

The underlying cause of my depressions is usually anger.

decades ago, a shrink told me that in his experience much depression was really anger deflected upon the self.

I have a whole bunch of things, mainly:

Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Sensory Prossesing Disorder, learning disabilities (the American useage of the term, eg. NOT intellectually disabled like it means in the U.K.), a secondary diagnosis of ADHD, and of course Aspergers, though I now carry the diagnosis of ASD.

Sever anxiety, and depression. I also suffer with PAC's and PVC's which are basically where the heart skips beats which I believe were originally a symptom of anxiety and then grew into a problem of its own. The anxiety and depression is through years and years of fighting with my own mind which we now know is due to Aspergers. Although now I have an Aspergers diagnosis the anxiety is deep rooted in me.

Sucks to be me.
