easier said than dome in moments of passionate discourse, but it's never to late to learn. Or at least try. We cannot expose ourselves in life only to that which is agreeable to us, not if we hope to coexist peacefully.

this is great!

I am going to share this. Can't tell you how many times I have had people critique my new website (which isn't even a month old). And then they have NOTHING good to say about it. I always thought, "how can they say anything bad about it when they never have anything positive to say?"

Thanks for sharing.

I still have a crush on Emily. Those Loopner glasses really did it for me.

I've had to say "nevermind" in much the same way I can't count how many times.

Criticize someone with kindness? Doesn't compute. If I'm going to criticize someone, it's going to be a mental slap in the face. That's the only way I can really do it. I don't believe in "constructive criticism", it just doesn't work as a concept.

Now, critiquing something, that's different. You can't really critique a person, but you can definitely critique an object, like a work of art. When you critique something, you're just suggesting changes that could be made to make it better, or little details that could be fixed. It's not possible, or at least not ethical, to "fix" someone against their will.
