High Functioning is a new documentary film, about the Autistic community and culture. Filmed in Israel and England, the film is mostly in Hebrew, with English sub-titles. The parts which were filmed in England are in English.

Synopsis:
Dana is the mother of Tamara - a charming 8 year old girl and a high functioning autistic. Dana is unsatisfied with the solutions offered to her by the medical world and is looking for an alternative. In her searches, she meets some members of ACI - Autistic Community of Israel - A captivating activist group whose members are autistics who try to bring an awareness revolution - to make the public understand autism is not a disability, but an identity. Members of the group take Dana to a wonderful and confusing journey within their world. A journey which would change everything she has known about autism and about herself

Here is a clip from the film, from an Autistic Pride Day event which took place in Israel in 2012:

Does high functioning autism mean autistic superiority?

Thank you, Vicki. Perhaps you can organize a similar Autistic Pride Day event in the Denver area next month?

You can call it "Festival of Peace, Cannabis & Autism". (Just joking :-) )

We are dealing with some major health issues right now. Plus,I am working on a number of projects already [you coming to AutHaven next March] one of them dealing with long-term financial growth for the Autistic community [one of stars projects, plus I would like to help with fund raising for Ocate Cliffs as soon as my husbands health is a bit more stable.

What really got me though [in the clip] was the singing of "Autistic Pride Day, the happiest day of the year." it ssent shivers down my back because that is what we need...a different type of pride day...one that is fun..one that is geared towards the kids as much as anything else. I am looking into creating something for next year. I dream of a time when Autistic Pride day is the day the little NT kids start asking their parents why they didn't make them Autistic so that they could celebrate the happiest day of the year.

I like it but either the clips are out of context or it's hard to determine the narrative of the documentary.
