The court has just struck down the law forbidding gay marriage in Idaho. I have to say - I thought Idaho would be one of the very last states in the Union to recognize marriage equality.
To which I say - - HOORAY FOR IDAHO!! !! !

/\
For Utah it was the USSC, not the state.
Either way it'll be interesting to see how it goes over with the populace.
In other words, the fat lady hasn't sung yet.......

The Idaho governor, Butch Otter (no, I'm not kidding, that's his actual name!) has called this ruling just a minor bump in the road. Here's to hoping he's wrong.

I like to think that humanity takes two steps forward and one & 15/16ths steps backwards, but often I feel that is optimistic.

Congratulations Idaho!

Here's hoping Oregon will be one of the next states to overturn its ban on gay marriage.

In all honesty, had you bet me real money that Idaho would accept gay marriage before Oregon, I would have ended up with an empty wallet!

Oh, as he's in denial about his true nature, and overall just an unpleasant, hypocritical person, he'll always be hitting the gloryholes.

I just learned Idaho has put gay marriage on hold. Unfortunately, the forces of reaction are still alive and well in Idaho.
