What I Wish Your Child Knew About Autism
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/knowmore- ... 67390.html

I was really blown away by this. This is the kind of awareness that needs to be raised. This is the kind of blog postor article that needs to be distributed far and wide.

The way this is written is both sensitive and insightful. I wish the media was full of this.

Very good article with one big exception. Stealing someone else's food is never ok.

I agree. Unless it's a baby who doesn't know any better.

I don't think she said it was. I liked the inclusion of it.

Thanks for sharing. That was a nice article.

This is so true! When I meet people that are more autistic then myself, they brighten my day with their happiness. :)

1. No offense, but Leo is not waiting around for non-autistic kids to be friends with him. If you're interesting enough, and if you talk to him with respect, maybe he'll want to interact with you. Maybe.

UGH, YES. Those classmates who thought they were doing me some kind of favor by trying to be friends with me when they were really just stealing my alone time. I know they meant well, but they were so annoying. I didn't want to hurt them, but I didn't want to talk to them either...
