Is it appropriate to give someone I barely know my email?

If I know them enough to not forget their name, and they know me like that, too. After talking to them.

The question is why? If you have a reason and you can state that reason clearly, I don't see any reason to hesitate. Don't just give the person your email. Make sure they know why you're giving it to them, so that they'll know how to reply to you. As with any interaction, the key is to be smooth. Let the conversation flow, and if something comes up, use that advantageously.

I always have 2 emails, one for important stuff like job applications and one for unimportant stuff like my youtube acct etc. give them a secondary email that isn't linked to your irl identity in any way
